Which tier applies to my business?+

Most companies fall under Standard Due Diligence (non high-risk). EU companies choose Starter (free), Growth, or Scale; companies located outside the EU use the Non-EU Standard plan. Businesses that are high-risk or need a tailored setup or cross-jurisdiction — fall under Enhanced Due Diligence, where pricing is quoted per client.

Is there an account opening or application review fee?+

No. Account opening and application review are €0 on all EU plans (Starter, Growth, and Scale). For Non-EU Standard and Enhanced Due Diligence these are quoted per client as custom pricing.

Is incoming SEPA really free?+

Yes — EUR local inbound is €0 on all EU plans, and transfers to another Newrails user (EUR fiat) are free too. EUR local outbound is €1.00 on Starter, €0.50 on Growth, and €0.25 on Scale.

What is the crypto-related transaction surcharge?+

It applies where the direct or indirect counterparty is a crypto exchange or crypto-asset platform, and is charged on top of the base transfer fee — 0.45% (Starter), 0.35% (Growth), 0.25% (Scale), or 0.40% (Non-EU Standard), each with a minimum. It is negotiable for large volumes.

How are EURW and USDC priced?+

EURW mint and redeem are free across all standard plans. On EU plans, token deposits and withdrawals carry a flat 1.0000 EURW or USDC per transfer; on Non-EU Standard they are from 0.05% per transfer. EURW ↔ USDC swaps are 0.3000 from the sold currency.

What does Enhanced Due Diligence involve?+

It applies to businesses that are high-risk or need a tailored setup or cross-jurisdiction. You likely fall under it if any of these describe your business: primarily in service trade without trackable logistics or delivery records; a disproportionately high share of inbound activity involving personal accounts; complex corporate equity structures with layered ownership or hard-to-trace beneficial owners; or a cross-jurisdiction footprint where funding sources, assets, or operations span multiple jurisdictions. EDD adds verification of business, ownership, and source of funds, and all pricing is quoted per client following a compliance review.
